June 2022 Update
TILT’s Expanded Human Potential Pilot Program
Fourteen incarcerated men at the Cook County Jail graduated from the 8-week program focused on unconditional love and mental time travel as tools to support hope and healing. Amber Williams, TILT’s Project Manager and UI/UX Lead created and led the program, which was initially planned to be six weeks long. When the men told her they’d like two more weeks, we knew Amber’s creation was a success. We are especially grateful to Jim and Christina Grote’s foundational gift to TILT as well as funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, both of which made this program possible.
You can listen to some of the graduates’ messages for the outside world on a special page devoted to this first pilot on the TILT website.
TILT is now in discussions with the YCWA, various first responder communities and refugee communities about taking customized versions of time machine to replicate this program elsewhere. Please contact us at julia@loveandtime.org if you wish to bring this program to a community of need.

This invitation-only conference at University of San Diego, sponsored by TILT donors, will be a historical first because it is the first time anyone has gathered a small (30-person) group of physicists, mathematicians, philosophers and neuroscientists from around the world to focus on the question of how to build an informational time machine (one that sends information into the past for use by our past selves).
We are excited to announce that the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination at UCSD is sponsoring a public panel at the ComicCon Museum on July 19th, just before this year’s ComicCon event. Attendees will be treated to insights from two physicists who study time travel as well as two SciFi thinkers who write stories about time travel. Of course, the event wouldn’t be complete without a DeLorean, so many thanks to the Center for finding one just for us!
Join us in person at 6pm on July 19th!

- We are proud to announce that Olin Hyde (pictured above) is joining us as part of our advisory circle at TILT. Olin’s entrepreneurial career spans three decades as a founder, CEO and early team member of eight startups. Most recently, he led GetRev.ai (aka LeadCrunch.ai) from startup through its ranking at #35 on the Inc 5000 in 2020. Olin is well known for his expertise in commercializing artificial intelligence and leading high-growth, early stage companies.
- Alex Morrison is leaving his post as TILT’s Deputy Director at the end of June 2022. He brought organization, flow, power and love to TILT — and the whole team will miss his wisdom, support, and capacity for positive growth
- Our Summer Open House will be on August 11, 4-5:30pm PT/7-8:30pm ET, and you’re invited! Mark your calendars — more in the next newsletter about this opportunity to connect with the TILT community.
- The Temporaceuticals project is on hold until additional funding is received; stay tuned!
In addition to rolling out Time Machine, we will be launching two other technologies in 2022 and can’t wait to share them with you!
